Description of Work:
This work will be performed for our client the
Social Security Administration (SSA).
The
incumbent will provide analytical and technical support to enable design,
development, validation, integration, and implementation for any upcoming
projects.
Provide critical technical
recommendations/solutions for complex problems. Directs the business process reengineering efforts
for major projects and contribute to technical and design discussions Provide technical documentation support.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum
knowledge, skills, abilities.
- Bachelor's degree and 14 years
of experience or Masters and 12 years of experience in the IT industry
5 years of WEBFOCUS
development experience 3 years of experience analyzing
specifications, designing, developing and testing reports using WEBFOCUS
(reporting tool), WEBFOCUS 7.7.3 and 7.7.6 3 years of experience
of working with the Web Focus database including Masterfile/meta data
development 2 years of developing reports using the FOCUS language and
ability to debug code in FOCUS language 5 years of experience
with Mainframe /COBOL CICS and JCL development. 3 years of experience
working with Relational Databases including DB2/SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates
with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
Prior SSA experience a huge plus; Ability to quickly understand government specific architectures,
existing and proposed and provide/propose solutions for technical problems and
guide the SSA team. Ability to interface
with the various information technology groups, as needed, for source-to-target
mappings and reporting interfaces. Experience resolving production issues. Excellent
written and verbal communications skills and ability
to interface with the client and manage customer expectations Experience with MS Office. Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle
(SDLC) methodologies. Self-starter, highly motivated individual, and a team
player who adapts to a dynamic work environment.Understanding and experience in architecting solutions leveraging
Software Defined Networking capabilities
